We have a new opportunity to be part of our Performance Optimisation team in the role of Performance Engineer .
This role sits at the heart of performance optimisation and trackside operations, supporting the continual development of car setup and data-driven analysis across race events. As part of the Performance Engineering group, you will play a vital part in enhancing performance both at and away from the circuit, contributing directly to the Team’s objective of consistently competing at the front of the FIA Formula One™ Constructors’ Championship.
You will be responsible for:
* Contributing significantly to global car optimisation across events and broader performance metrics.
* Supporting in-event and post-event analysis from Mission Control, providing objective, data-driven insights that address key performance questions.
* Working closely with the Trackside Performance and Race Engineers to support decisions that influence on-track outcomes.
* Aiding the design and development of data visualisation and analysis tools within the Performance Engineering group.
* Managing assigned projects from initiation through to completion, including timeline awareness and interdepartmental coordination.
* Proactively seeking assistance or collaboration with other engineers where necessary.
* Effectively managing your workload and meeting tight deadlines while delivering high-quality output.
* Acting responsibly and professionally at all times and working in accordance with the team’s reporting structure.
* Performing other duties as reasonably required within the scope of the role.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field such as engineering, aeronautical engineering, or computer science.
* Strong programming and computational analysis skills, with a good working knowledge of data analysis and/or machine learning techniques.
* Ability to present data clearly, report findings concisely, and make confident, informed decisions.
* A continuous improvement mindset with a commitment to further developing your knowledge and skills within Performance Engineering.
* Calm, focused, and adaptable under pressure, with excellent organisational capabilities.
* Strong team player with a flexible approach to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to positively influence and motivate peers.
* Capable of building strong working relationships across departments.
* A clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety standards.
This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
