and main responsibilities
1. Work with minimal supervision, clinically examining and assessing patients and initiating any appropriate action for a distinct caseload of patients depending on skill level and scope once appointed.

2. Assume responsibility for the day to day management of the vascular enhanced/specialist nurse service in the absence of more senior colleagues. Including ward based care and enhanced outpatient services to include complex wound management, care of patients with claudication and discrete aspects of pre operative assesement.
3. Exercise significant discretion in the delivery of the role, guided by policies and procedures and implementing appropriate action in order to achieve expected results.
