Responsibilities
* Carry out care duties for patients in support of a registered nurse.
* Work regularly unsupervised as required.
* Maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward environment.
* Assist with assigned duties that may vary with ward/department and patient dependency.
Qualifications and Requirements
* SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience in a caring environment/role.
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Active participation in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil continuing professional development requirements.
* Working knowledge of basic information technology.

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Medical Assessment Unit 1 within University Hospital Wishaw.
The working pattern for this role is 12 hour shift pattern, rotational shift pattern.
