Overview
The physiotherapy service is looking for a dynamic team member to support one-to-one and group rehabilitation of outpatient oncology patients within the REACT Service (Rehabilitation and Exercise during Addenbrooke’s Cancer Treatment). You will work within a large physiotherapy department with a team of experienced physiotherapists across musculoskeletal specialties. The REACT service promotes health and well-being in Cancer (oncology) patients and involves developing pathways for exercise during cancer treatment.
You will be strongly supported in learning new skills and gaining additional training and will contribute to team development and redesign of the REACT programme as the Trust prepares to move into the Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital in the next five years.
Responsibilities
* Assist in physiotherapy and other ward/department duties as directed by and under the supervision of a State Registered Physiotherapist.
* Provide high-standard assistance to physiotherapy staff in musculoskeletal and oncology outpatient and inpatient services.
* Deliver individual and group-based exercise interventions for people living with and beyond cancer.
* Work alongside Cancer Rehabilitation Specialist physiotherapists to develop the REACT programme pathway across the Trust.
