The job itself
About the recipient
Non-verbal autistic and co-morbid ADHD client who struggles with planning, organisation, and execution of tasks such as shopping, completing forms, and contacting health professionals.
Hours
Monday to Friday.
Between 11:00 and 16:00.
Flexible days and times according to client's needs.
Assistance with:
1. Day-to-day planning and diary management.
2. Shopping.
3. Admin - such as completing forms.
4. Contacting doctor's surgery and other agencies.
5. Home organisation.
6. Appropriate reminders for tasks - such as ordering medication.
Personal qualities:
7. Patient, empathetic, and compassionate.
8. Knowledge of confidentiality and consent regulations (GDPR - general data protection regulations).
9. Knowledge of the Equality Act, and adheres to these principles.
10. Understanding of neurodiversity, such as autism and ADHD.
11. Softly spoken.
12. Undertaken Oliver McGowan training.
13. Ability to speak confidentially with professionals.
14. Flexibility in hours/days and times.
15. Car driver - not essential.
