As our Into Work Officer, as you'll be known internally you will work with customers to identity, develop and support effective employment and digital initiatives. Customers will be supported with training, advice and guidance that have clear measurable outcomes, helping maximise customers financial and digital inclusion.
You will also support customers with their financial wellbeing, offering advice and guidance with a range of issues including welfare and benefits. This helps to enable customers to independently pay their rents and sustain their tenancies.
Your key tasks will include –
* Managing and developing a range of employability, digital, financial and motivational interventions aimed at confidence building and skills development
* Maintaining awareness of funding opportunities that can be used to meet the needs of all customers
* Organising training activities and work in collaboration with partners and stakeholders
* Completing progress reviews and Employment & Skills plans with customers
* Continuing to build on existing relationships with external partners, agencies and stakeholders and also growing new relationships
You'll come to the role with ideally a Career Guidance and Development or equivalent qualification in careers information, advice and guidance. Alternatively you will have demonstrable experience working in a similar role. You will have a strong knowledge of housing issues.
You will have a sound awareness of the welfare benefit system, including knowledge of universal credit and legacy benefits.
You will have experience in running training sessions, facilitating and organising events.
You will naturally ensure that you offer a customer focussed service, adapting your style to support challenging and vulnerable customer to ensure positive outcomes.
You will be organised, with great time management and will hold strong admin skills.
You'll be experienced in stakeholder management, building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The role will require travel so you will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
