Commercial Manager role at Converge Technology Solutions UK. We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join our IT Recycling team.
As part of a global technology business, Converge Technology Solutions designs industry specific IT solutions for each client. We are an IT reseller and IT manufacturer with an award-winning IT recycling facility, committed to sustainability and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
* Manage existing relationships and prospect to bring in new routes to market
* Sell and maximise profit for selling refurbished equipment
* Increase commercial awareness within the IT Recycling team
* Purchase refurbished equipment at competitive rates for resale through different vertical routes
* Provide accurate rebate values to the sales team when requested
* Work with management to ensure targets are on track
* Manage stock levels through platforms (Stone Refurb, Converge Renew) and route stock to best markets
* Lead meetings with brokers to drive and maintain margin expectations
* Conduct high-quality meetings to qualify valuable IT equipment for collection and resale
* Communicate with customers as required and manage forecasts accurately
* Onboard new brokers and suppliers while ensuring correct purchasing processes
* Attend and contribute to team meetings; share ideas and drive improvements
* Coordinate with Recycling operations before and after collections
* Ensure waste is sold through correct routes (within the UK)
* Make commercial decisions on the best route for equipment and handle complaints with proper escalation
Measures of Performance
* Revenue and gross profit targets met
* Gross profit and net profit margins improvement
* Revenue growth year on year
* Prospecting activity and new broker/supplier onboarding
* Broker payments within 30 days and stock deliveries on time
* Effective quotations, lead times, and updates communicated to the sales team and Recycling Specialists
Person Specification
* Essential Qualifications: GCSE English and Maths or equivalent, A Levels or equivalent, Business Management qualifications and a Full UK driving licence
* Essential Experience/Skills: Demonstrable Business Development or Sales Manager experience, experience of the IT broker market, sales performance and gaining new customers through prospecting
* Desired Experience/Skills: Knowledge of ADISA accreditations, understanding of valuable items for resale, experience in IT recycling, ITAD and refurbishment market knowledge, and Bid/Tender management experience

This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) and is a hybrid role.
