Quality Inspector (Lates)

Overview
We are looking for an experienced Inspector to support manufacturing operations within a precision engineering environment. The role will involve manual inspection, ensuring components meet quality, engineering, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* First-off, in-process, final, and receipt inspection
* CMM inspection including running and maintaining programmes
* Manual inspection of precision components
* Completion of FAIRs using CMM and manual methods
* Supporting NPI and liaising closely with Engineering
* Raising and managing non-conformances
* Accurate recording of inspection results within MRP systems
* Supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and 5S
Quality Inspection & Measuring Tools
* Confident using manual measuring equipment including:
* Vernier callipers
* Micrometers (internal, external, depth)
* Height gauges
* Bore gauges
* Thread gauges (GO/NO-GO)
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection plans
* Experience inspecting to tight tolerances and quality standards
Skills & Experience
* Background in quality inspection within manufacturing or engineering
* Experience with CMM and manual inspection methods
* Strong attention to detail and right-first-time mindset
