Air Quality Consultant (1:2 Years Experience)
Location: Brighton
Working Pattern: Hybrid working available (minimum 1 day per week in the Brighton office)
Salary: GBP28,000:GBP32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Air Quality Consultant with 1:2 years experience to join our growing Brighton:based team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early:career consultant looking to build strong technical foundations and progress within a supportive, professional consultancy environment.
The Role
You will be involved in a broad range of air quality projects, with a particular focus on developments influenced by road traffic emissions. The role offers a balanced mix of hands:on technical work, exposure to varied projects, and structured support to help you develop your skills and confidence as a consultant.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver air quality assessments for development and infrastructure projects
*
Undertake air dispersion modelling, with an emphasis on road traffic emissions
*
Support the preparation of technical reports and planning documentation
*
Analyse and interpret monitoring and modelling data, presenting findings clearly
*
Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients across multiple projects
Essential Requirements
*
1:2 years professional experience in air quality consultancy or a related field
*
Practical experience in air dispersion modelling, including road traffic models
*
Experience assessing developments affected by road traffic emissions
*
Membership of the IAQM, or actively working towards it
*
A relevant degree in environmental science, air quality, or a related discipline
*
Strong written and verbal communication skills
