SALARY: £55,000 per annum
HOURS: 40 per week, Monday – Friday. Hybrid - 3-5 days on-site

Waste and Recyclate Sales Manager
Purpose of the role:
Leads and actions the BWC ‘out-going’ waste disposal and recyclate sales processes ensuring the BWC supply chain remains capable and commercially optimised. Delivers monthly data reports concerning BWC waste movements to others ensuring BWC corporate compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensures that the ‘outgoing’ waste disposal / sales recyclate supply chain is constantly on and functioning as per the organisational need
* Delivers with operations the highest level of material optimisation to mitigate material disposal costs and maximise recyclate sales value.
* Leads and ensures oversight on all BWC waste disposal contracts by arranging for the safe and efficient reception, transfer, and treatment of wastes.
* Leads and ensures capable waste material record keeping, ensuring document retention and legal compliance.
* Leads and ensures oversight on all BWC recyclate sales contracts by arranging for the safe and efficient transfer / collection of recyclates and administering the payment process.
* Leads and ensures capable recyclate sales record keeping ensuring document retention and compliance.
* Liaises when required with Finance to ensure supplier payment and timely rectification of issues.
* Conducts ‘Duty of care’ inspections at waste supplier off-loading points. Min 1 qty per month to ensure supplier BWC contractual compliance.
* Leads and ensures the maintenance of all waste disposal and recyclate sales contract records, databases, registers, and systems ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
* Works with others to ensure the management and control of the weighbridge system by monitoring waste flows, database administration, financial reconciliation, and customer / user management.
* Delivers to the Category manager and Finance team a regular drum beat of waste disposal and recyclate sales budget run rate vs forecast.
* Delivers the Category plans and projects in conjunction with the Category manager in the most efficient and timely manner.
* Delivers to Procurement all required documentation to successfully activate tender activity for waste disposal material and recyclate sales. Such as but not limited to material specifications.
* Actively participates when required in the strategic sourcing activity for waste disposal and recyclate sales.
* Delivers in conjunction with the Category manager market analysis, market monitoring, and market engagement for BWC materials.
Essential Requirements for the Role:
* Extensive waste management experience
* People management experience
* Microsoft Office applications – particularly excel, advanced level required.
* Extensive demonstrable knowledge of national and international recyclate market
* Track record of successful material sales performance
* Knowledge of duty of care requirements
* Commercial contract management experience
* Good knowledge of current legislation requirements and future changes
* Robust understanding of finance, budgeting, including profit and loss
