Our Site Moderation Team works closely with SpareRoom's award-winning Customer Service Team, ensuring a smooth and secure experience for all our users. As a Site Moderator, you'll be at the heart of our operations, tackling everything from scam detection to content approval. It's a busy role, but you'll be part of a fun, energetic team known for their excellent service and collaborative spirit. What you'll do: Investigate and take action on suspicious adverts to protect our users. Provide expert advice on scam detection to other departments and directly to our customers. Follow processes to prevent fraudulent activity and enhance site security. Keep accurate records and analyse data to support future investigations. Ensure all advert content, including photos and videos, complies with our website’s terms and conditions. Communicate directly with site users via email and phone to resolve enquiries and concerns. Who we’re looking for: Someone with a strong customer focus who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience in online platforms, particularly with a focus on fraud detection or risk management, is a plus. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a knack for resolving complaints calmly and empathetically. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential—you’ll need to spot the smallest red flags! A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.
