Job Description
The Accounts Assistant duties include:
3. Processing purchase invoices and managing the purchase ledger
4. Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations and payment runs
5. Raising sales invoices and supporting the sales ledger where required
6. Bank reconciliations and cash posting
7. Supporting monthly closing activities
8. Assisting with expense processing
9. Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
10. Supporting ad‑hoc finance and administrative tasks as required
11. Month-end duties
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
12. Immediately available or short notice periods
13. Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
14. Comfortable working with high volumes of transactional data
15. Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
16. Able to work independently while collaborating with colleagues
17. Part‑qualified AAT or equivalent (desirable, not essential)
