About the Role Were looking for a curious and driven Junior Analyst Developer to join our Clinical Applications Team, where youll help us improve and build systems that directly support the delivery of care. This is a hands-on development role working with both internal teams and external vendors to deliver, enhance, and integrate systems across the charity. In this role, youll: Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of internal applications Help build and improve system interfaces (including those using HL7 and other healthcare standards) Develop automation solutions using tools like Python and Selenium Write and modify front-end elements using HTML and ASP Work with structured data formats such as JSON and XML Support exploratory work using AI tools, including OpenAI and prompt engineering Collaborate with analysts and clinicians to translate needs into working digital solutions Maintain and enhance documentation, testing scripts, and user instructions What Were Looking For Were open to candidates at the start of their development career, or with some experience in a technical role. You dont need to know everything on day one but youll bring: Some familiarity with programming or scripting languages (e.g. Python, ASP) An understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) An interest in APIs and integration concepts (e.g. HL7, REST, JSON, XML) Microsoft 365 tools as well as skills in SQL query writing Willingness to explore new technologies, including AI and automation tools Basic understanding of software development practices Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking A collaborative approach and good communication skills Experience with AI tools (e.g. OpenAI APIs) or an interest in prompt engineering would be an advantage, but training and mentoring will be provided.
