Role
1. To provide support to the research project, undertaking research work within the overall programme and assisting with the day to day operation of the project
2. With the guidance of the project supervisor, to undertake a combination of literature searches,desk based research, interviews and other research activity.
3. To consider the public engagement and impact of the project and take appropriate steps to maximise these with the support of the research leader.
4. To lead (with support) an experts-by- experience panel that advises the project.
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
5. Undergraduate degree in a Social Science discipline (eg. Social Work, Social Policy, Sociology or similar) or equivalent experience
6. Knowledge of a range of research techniques and methodologies
7. Ability to organise own research activities to agreed deadlines and quality standards
8. Excellent written communication in order to contribute effectively to the production of research reports and publications
9. Ability to work as part of a team and also to work independently using own initiative
