People and Processes Manager (Part-Time)
Location: Caversham
Contract: 6-month temp-to-perm
Hours: 2–4 days per week (with flexibility to cover holidays, sickness and busy periods as required)
Starting Salary: £30,000 FTE (pro rata)
We're looking for a highly organised, hands-on People and Processes Manager to join our independent retail businesses, supporting both our clothing (The Edit) and gift store (Cadeaux- opening Nov This flexible role is designed to support the business needs all year round – you'll need to be available to step in as required, sometimes at short notice, to cover holidays, sickness, or seasonal peaks.
About the Role
Working closely alongside our store managers and reporting directly to the owner, you'll be the first point of contact for staff regarding rotas and holiday cover, while also supporting HR, compliance, and operational tasks. You'll help ensure policies, processes, and health & safety standards (including fire safety and COSHH) are maintained, and that both shops run smoothly day-to-day.
You'll also assist with inventory checks, stock presentation, maintenance, general admin and making sure essential supplies (like stationery and cleaning products) are always available. At times, you'll step in to provide cover for staff or managers, so flexibility and reliability are key.
Be available to work between the hours of 8.50am - 5.30pm, Monday - Sunday on a flexible basis
What We're Looking For
* Previous management/supervisory experience (retail or hospitality preferred)
* Excellent organisation skills – especially with rotas, holidays, and record-keeping
* Previous experience in a HR role highly desirable, c
* Familiar with work place compliance, health & safety, fire safety, and COSHH
* A flexible, hands-on approach with the ability to step in at short notice
* Strong communication and people skills – approachable, fair, and reliable
