What's involved with this role: Contract Type: Temporary The role: We're looking for a skilled Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor to join a local authority on a 6-month contract. You'll provide technical expertise across a range of property maintenance tasks and play a key role in ensuring quality, compliance and timely project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Carry out surveys and specify works for repairs, voids and refurbishments Manage projects through to completion, ensuring they meet time and budget constraints Monitor contractor performance and chair progress meetings Ensure compliance with housing and safety legislation, including EPC and HHSRS Maintain accurate records and support the development of repair systems and procedures Contribute to customer engagement and resolve complaints professionally What the client is looking for: HNC/NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience in a building-related field Active DBS Strong technical knowledge of social housing repair and construction methods Ability to manage workloads independently and meet deadlines Experience in diagnosing defects and writing specifications Knowledge of capital and revenue budgets Clear communication skills and confidence in IT systems Domestic Energy Assessor qualification or willingness to work towards it Understanding of PAS standards and decarbonisation practices Experience working in a local authority or social housing environment How to Apply: Submit your CV and cover letter If you do not hear from us within three working days, unfortunately your application has not been shortlisted on this occasion.
