PERFECT CANDIDATE are pleased to be working with a leading distributor of fasteners and associated hardware to the Aerospace sector.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The successful candidate will work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure the quality compliance of the organization, covering customer, supplier, and regulatory requirements. The role includes a wide range of quality activities, including quality assurance and control, to achieve business KPIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES include (but are not limited to):
* Ensure the quality of all processed products.
* Interface with internal and external customers and suppliers on quality issues.
* Generate QMS procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans supporting NPI and Product Realization processes.
* Lead or support workshops to implement robust corrective and preventive actions.
* Generate and monitor FMEA, Control Plans, and data analysis.
* Review customer and regulatory standards for QMS compliance.
* Support quality improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and non-value-added costs.
* Capture, analyze data, and generate actions for continuous improvement.
* Perform other duties as reasonably required.
DESIRED SKILLS
* Proven track record as a Quality Engineer in aerospace, nuclear, or similarly regulated sectors.
* Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, proficient in tools such as FMEA, 8D, and 5Y.
* AS9100 / ISO9001 Lead or Internal auditor certification.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
* IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
* HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
* Experience as a Quality professional within a Quality Engineering role.
* Knowledge of AS9100 QMS requirements.
* Familiarity with Aerospace Fasteners.
* Experience in auditing processes.
