Overview
Clinical Governance Lead – Permanent, Full‑time, up to £58,500 per annum, 37.5 hours a week. At Wessex Hospital (Nuffield Health) you will champion our brand values, drive continuous improvement in data quality, reporting and escalation processes, and lead quality assurance and improvement activity with senior clinical and medical leaders.
Responsibilities
* Champion the organisation’s brand values.
* Drive continuous improvement of data quality and analysis capabilities.
* Develop and oversee reporting and escalation processes (Board and Incident Reporting) to guide quality learning and decision‑making.
* Work with senior clinical and medical leaders to deliver systems supporting clinical effectiveness, patient safety, regulatory compliance, customer feedback and professional development.
* Lead the development, review and oversight of clinical policies and SOPs, ensuring effective management of the policy catalogue.
* Provide advice, guidance and subject‑matter expertise on governance processes to those involved in leadership of clinical care, including complaint management.
* Support maintenance and achievement of clinical and organisational accreditation (e.g. ISO9001) and facilitate successful certification.
* Support delivery and achievement of Nuffield Health’s Quality Improvement Plan, leading on clinical projects and workstreams within remit.
* Contribute to strategic negotiations on clinical governance and quality assurance to support commercial objectives.
Qualifications
* Registered clinician (NMC, HCPC or GPC) with degree/post‑graduate level education in a clinical discipline.
* Relevant organisational governance qualifications (e.g. ISO9001 Auditor or equivalent).
* Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and proactive, efficient work style.
Experience
* Senior leadership within the healthcare sector, with significant experience in clinical governance and quality assurance.
