At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Work Pack Engineer supporting Hinkley Point C new nuclear build.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. As a Work Pack Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll liaise with client/Leads to ensure the design requirements are prepared and understood pre commencement of design.

Day to day, you’ll consult/assign the appropriate Design Category with Temporary Works based on the risks presented by the design, ensuring that any residual risks are included in the design brief.

* Temporary Works Development: Support the growth of TW disciplines, including voids, openings, and scaffolding designs to meet operational needs.
* Design Verification & Communication: Facilitate design checks (CAT 2 and CAT 3) by independent parties and share designs with relevant external stakeholders.
* Execution Support: Assist the execution team before and during the erection of bespoke structures, ensuring safe and effective implementation of designs.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week based within the EDF Energy officers in Sunderland. You will be required to visit site initially for a 4-week induction period and then periodic site visits thereafter. All expenses will be paid including accommodation.
