About the role
We are seeking an organised, analytical and proactive Learning Support Performance and Projects Coordinator to play a key role within our Learning Support team. This is a pivotal post that supports the effective delivery of Additional Learning Support across the College by coordinating performance information, funding activity and improvement work.
Working closely with the Head of Additional Learning Support, you will help shape departmental priorities, streamline administrative and data‑driven processes and ensure Learning Support has timely, accurate information to inform decision‑making and improve learner outcomes. You will take a lead role in coordinating EHCP and High Needs funding activity, as well as Adult Skills Fund and ALLB‑related ALS claims, working collaboratively with Finance, Student Data and Reporting Services teams to ensure accuracy, compliance and efficiency.
You will line manage and coordinate the Learning Support administration team, allocating work effectively and supporting staff to deliver a responsive, high‑quality service. A core part of the role is working with our Data and Reporting Services team to aid the development of agreed data reports to provide insight into impact, trends and areas for development, rather than creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complex systems, has strong attention to detail, and can balance accuracy with flexibility in a busy, learner‑focused environment. An understanding of the barriers faced by learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities will underpin your approach, ensuring that administrative and performance activity always supports inclusive practice and positive learner outcomes.
About the person
We are looking for a highly organised, analytical and proactive individual with strong administrative and coordination skills, who thrives in a complex, fast‑paced service environment. You will have experience of coordinating operational, performance or improvement activity and be confident working across multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
You will be comfortable working collaboratively with a range of internal teams, including finance, student data and reporting services, and able to interpret and use data and management information to support decision‑making and service improvement. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, enabling you to share information clearly, track actions effectively and maintain momentum across projects and operational tasks.
As this role includes line management responsibility, you will have experience of supporting and coordinating staff, allocating workloads fairly and responding flexibly to changing demands. You will be calm, methodical and solution‑focused, able to work under pressure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
An understanding of the barriers faced by learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities will underpin your approach, ensuring that performance, funding and administrative activity always supports inclusive practice and positive learner outcomes. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to confidentiality, data protection and quality assurance, alongside a customer‑focused approach to supporting both staff and learners.
Above all, you will be adaptable, reliable and motivated to contribute to the continuous improvement of Learning Support services, with a willingness to develop your skills and knowledge in line with the needs of the College.
