Senior Family Assessment Worker - Residential Family Assessment Centre Stafford

First Blue Family Assessment are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Family Assessment Worker to join our team at a Family Assessment Centre based in Stafford. As a Senior Family Assessment Worker, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the centre, providing guidance and support to families in crisis, and supervising the support staff. Your compassion, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to lead by example will be essential in ensuring the success of our programs and the well-being of the families we support.


Responsibilities:

1. Support
o Provide direct support and guidance to families undergoing assessments, assisting them in understanding and complying with centre rules and expectations.
o Promote a positive and nurturing environment to foster healthy parent-child interactions.
o Collaborate with external agencies and professionals involved in the assessment process to ensure comprehensive support for families.
2. Supervision and Leadership
o Supervise and mentor support staff, ensuring they adhere to best practices, policies, and procedures.
o Lead by example and maintain a positive work culture within the team.
o Assist in staff training and development activities.
3. Assessment Support
o Work closely with assessment professionals to facilitate the assessment process, ensuring the safety and well-being of all parties involved.
o Participate in case conferences and meetings to discuss family progress and provide input regarding support needs.
4. Documentation
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of family interactions, progress, and incidents.
o Prepare reports and documentation as required by the organization and external agencies.
5. Crisis Intervention
o Respond promptly and effectively to crisis situations, ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.
o Follow established protocols for crisis management and de-escalation.
6. Communication
o Maintain open and effective communication with families, colleagues, and external partners.
o Report any concerns or incidents to the Centre Manager or appropriate authorities as required.


Who we are looking for:

* Previous experience in a family assessment centre or similar setting
* Strong knowledge of child protection and family support services
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Leadership and supervisory experience
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
* Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards
