We're looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Thames Water Framework team working on projects in the Northern Thames Valley region., Location: Culham, Oxfordshire - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required. Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the commercial aspects of multiple water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.
Responsibilities
* Managing financial reporting, cost value reconciliations, and forecasting to ensure project profitability
* Overseeing contract administration and procurement processes in line with Thames Water policies
* Leading negotiations with clients, contractors and stakeholders to achieve favourable contract terms
* Mentoring and supporting a commercial team across multiple projects
* Implementing effective risk management strategies to mitigate financial challenges
Qualifications
* You have a degree in quantity surveying, construction management or related field
* You bring experience in water/wastewater projects and understanding of standard forms of contract
* You're skilled at building collaborative relationships and have excellent communication abilities
* You enjoy mentoring others and can nurture a supportive team environment
* You're detail-oriented with excellent financial management and negotiation skills, Disability Confident
