Prime Life is looking for passionate and dedicated care professionals to join our friendly team as a Day Care Assistant. We have several vacancies and are keen to meet candidates for interviews as soon as possible. This role will be based at Westerlands Care Village in Brough. The home is specially designed to cater to the needs of 83 residents with a range of age‑related conditions, physical disabilities and mental health conditions. Some residents live with Dementia. Candidates must be patient, understanding and respectful of residents’ individual abilities.

Responsibilities of our Day Care Assistant
* Assist residents with personal hygiene and retirement to bed in the evening
* Complete routine welfare checks throughout the night to ensure residents are safe and well
* Support residents to dine and maintain good nutrition and hydration as required
* Encourage residents to mobilise safely around the home with the support of mobility aids and specialist equipment
* Provide friendship and companionship to residents
* Maintain accurate and timely written records and complete documentation
* Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and engage with other care professionals as needed to promote residents' health and well‑being
* Welcome family members to the home and assist with enquiries
What we’re looking for in our Day Care Assistant
To be successful, you should have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. Candidates must be patient, understanding and respectful of residents’ individual abilities.
