Your mission
As a member of the EHS team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and promotion of all Health, Safety, and Environmental topics at a manufacturing site.
You will be responsible for site performance on Occupational Health and Safety topics, as well as ensuring internal and external compliance with relevant legislation and directives.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor improvement plans within the site
* Promote and assist management in the development and application of prevention programmes
* Perform and/or complete Occupational Health and Safety activities, including analysis and recording on specific issues
* Lead incident investigations, contractor management, PPE management, chemical management, and emergency management processes
* Lead daily and weekly safety walks and talks, as well as risk assessments when required
* Deploy and manage occupational risk assessments and site impact assessments
* Work with leadership to propose targets, action plans, and resources according to internal guidelines
* Ensure safety control measures are in place and followed for all activities (employees, contractors, visitors, routine and non‑routine, on‑site and off‑site)
* Ensure effectiveness of safety walk processes at management level and track completion of actions
* Maintain management systems for Health & Safety, Environment, and Energy (e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001)
* Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations
* Ensure KPI accuracy and reporting to site leadership and external systems
* Lead the Health & Safety committee and coordinate teams
* Provide training to staff at all levels within the site
Qualifications and Experience
* A formal Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role or within Occupational Health, Safety & Environment
* Experience within an engineering and/or manufacturing environment is preferred
