About the Role
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday in line with operating hours.
Responsibilities
* Provision of a confidential, comprehensive and varied administrative and secretarial support to the Community Mental Health Team, which also includes reception cover.
* Use of initiative and resource while exercising a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy and tact.
* Excellent communication skills to ensure that information required is passed on accurately and time‑sensitively to the team. The post‑holder operates within pre‑determined procedures and parameters and is required to act independently, prioritising work with periodic review from a supervisor.
* Workload is generated by the clinical caseload and professional roles of the multi‑disciplinary team; this includes audio typing skills.
Working Hours
Please be advised that, effective 1 April 2026, the full‑time working hours for all Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours.
