North Locality, Jessie Street, Blairgowrie
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the North Locality Strathmore (Blairgowrie) Social Work Team for a full-time, permanent Senior Practitioner.
Applications are being invited from experienced, confident, motivated and creative Social Workers who are looking to develop their practice knowledge, skills and experience in a leadership role.
This post will include managing and supervising staff, chairing meetings, holding a small caseload of complex cases and other tasks delegated by the Team Leader.
The North Locality team is a busy rural social work team working with adults and unpaid carers to achieve identified outcomes. The team serves a large geographical area and provides a wide variety of care and support interventions and services.
Highland Perthshire is a beautiful and picturesque area to work, and while it brings challenges in relation to the rural nature of the area, it also provides opportunities to identify and develop local networks of support.

For purposes of connection and collaboration with colleagues and with the community we serve, our full-time employees work on site for a minimum of 2 days per week with the arrangements for part time employees being agreed on a basis which will ensure that they benefit to an equivalent degree.
Skills & Experience Required
* Experience of statutory Adult Social Work and be confident in the areas of Adult Support and Protection, Adults with Incapacity, Self-Directed Support and Carers Legislation.
* Organised person with a flexible approach who is well organised and holds the ability to manage time effectively and produce accurate, high quality work, often to tight timescales.
* Ambitious, compassionate practitioner who can demonstrate experience of working with integrity in line with the values of Perth and Kinross Council.
* Recognised Social Work Qualification (Degree in Social Work, DIPSW, CQSW, CSS or other relevant Social Work qualification) and be registered as a Social Worker with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or within 6 months of commencing employment.
