Location: Romford, London
Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – High Needs
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, Term Time Only)

Vision for Education is working closely with a warm and inclusive primary school in Romford to recruit a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with high needs, requiring close attention and consistent support throughout the school day.
The Role:
1. Supporting a pupil with high and complex SEN needs on a 1:1 basis
2. Delivering tailored interventions and managing behaviour support plans
3. Assisting with personal care and mobility needs, where required
4. Collaborating closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external professionals
5. Creating a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
6. Experience supporting children with high or complex SEN needs (e.g., non-verbal, autism, SEMH, PMLD)
7. A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
8. Strong behaviour management and communication skills
9. A current DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
10. Team Teach, PECS, or Makaton training (desirable but not essential)
