Science Teacher – Full-Time, Long-Term

Salary: £33,000 – £45,000 (dependent on experience)

We’re working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Watford, celebrated for its academic excellence, inclusive values, and supportive learning community.
The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis starting iASAP. This opportunity is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a genuine passion for making science engaging, accessible, and meaningful to all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver dynamic and hands-on Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
* Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is preferred
* Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes inquiry and curiosity
* Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and monitor progress
* Contribute to curriculum development and share resources within the department
* Support students through their GCSE preparation, including coursework and revision
* Encourage student participation in STEM clubs, science fairs, and enrichment activities
* Engage actively in school life and foster connections with the wider school community
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification (strong unqualified applicants will also be considered)
* Has experience teaching Science at secondary level
* Brings excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education
* Adopts a creative, student-centred teaching approach
* Demonstrates strong classroom management and high expectations
* Possesses (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
