Deputy Manager – Cartref Homes Uk Ltd

Join our Supported Living team as Deputy Manager, where your leadership and enthusiasm will be essential in supporting tenants across three homes in Sheppey. Our supported living service caters to individuals with complex needs, intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges, and we\'re looking for a Deputy Manager who is passionate about making a positive impact.


Responsibilities

* Advocate on behalf of the Home Manager, setting a clear and structured direction for the team and tenants.
* Apply Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to understand the functions of behaviours and develop person-centred interventions to promote positive outcomes and improve quality of life.
* Design care plans, oversee their implementation, and ensure team alignment through staff meetings, supervisions, and real-time guidance.
* Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and external agencies to provide a holistic approach to each tenant\'s care, including coordinating multidisciplinary meetings and sharing insights.
* Coordinate information to ensure consistency and quality of services.
* Roster your team\'s hours and contribute to service administration, including on-call duties.
* Provide ongoing support and guidance to the team to help you grow within the management structure.


Requirements for the Deputy Manager Role

* 4 years professional experience working with people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health difficulties.
* 3 years managerial experience.
* Health and Social Care qualification (minimum level 3) and willingness to study for Level 5 diploma.
* Experience in working in accordance with legal frameworks (Dols, CoPs and CTOs).
* Good knowledge of CQC regulations.
* Care plan and risk assessment writing experience.
* Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Presentation experience.
* Hold a full clean driver’s license.
