We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Clinical Admin Officer to join our dedicated Pain Management Service within the Medicine team. This is a part-time opportunity, offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis, ideally suited to individuals with proven administrative experience and a collaborative approach to supporting multidisciplinary teams.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care by providing comprehensive administrative support to our team of Consultants, Nurses, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists.
Main duties of the job
 * Delivering high-quality administrative support across the department
 * Managing your own workload effectively using planning tools, and escalating any issues affecting deadlines in a timely manner
 * Processing urgent correspondence and medico-legal documentation as requested by Consultants, in line with Trust procedures
 * Handling internal and external enquiries from colleagues, GPs, and patients with professionalism and efficiency
 * Maintaining accurate and confidential records, both digital and paper-based
 * Uploading medical documentation to the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system
 * Assisting clinicians with correspondence through Epic, ensuring all required information and attachments are included
 * Managing telephone enquiries in accordance with Trust and departmental standards
 * Using Trust-approved IT systems to carry out day-to-day tasks

Qualifications
Essential criteria
 * Good education to GCSE standard or equivalent experience
 * ECDL or equivalent
 * NVQ Level 3 Administration or equivalent practical knowledge
Experience
Essential criteria
 * Experience of working in an office environment
 * Competent with current software programmes (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
 * Experience of working within a team environment
Desirable criteria
 * Working in the NHS either in a hospital/private practice/GP setting
 * Call Centre experience
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
 * Logical reasoning i.e. providing/receiving routine/sensitive information requiring tact
 * Basic numeracy and literacy
 * Ability to communicate clearly
 * Ability to work with minimal supervision
