The role involves the build, assembly and installation of special purpose machinery, working with complex mechanical sub-assemblies and collaborating closely with design and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Assemble and fit machine unit assemblies including spindles, clamps, pneumatic, hydraulic, and lubrication systems Read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics Install hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems Occasionally, you may be required to carry out onsite installations, upgrades and repairs at customer sites in the UK and internationally Operate machine shop equipment such as milling machines, lathes and grinders Inspect components using precision measuring tools Communicate build issues and solutions to engineering and build teams Participate in project planning meetings and continuous improvement initiativesRole Requirements Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team High level of mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime when required Valid UK driving licence and passport for international travelExperience & Qualifications Mechanical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent) Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Machine Tool Fitter, or in bespoke machinery build Experience with hydraul...
