We have an exciting opportunity for a Property & Casualty Mid-market Underwriter to join our team in the Chelmsford/Essex area. You will be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customers to proactively develop and profitably grow their existing commercial book of business within Aviva.
This is a great job for someone who can partner with brokers and customers to understand their needs, using data insights to provide comprehensive customer solutions.
About the role:
As an Underwriter, you will collaborate within our Southeast Underwriting team to support the Senior Underwriter and Team Manager in achieving financial goals. You should have excellent organisation and time management skills, including the ability to manage your diary effectively in a fast-paced environment. The role involves visiting brokers to strengthen relationships and ensure visibility in the market. You will handle new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
Skills and experience required:
* Previous Property and Liability underwriting experience
* Ability to analyse risks and communicate effectively with brokers and customers
* Experience working collaboratively within a large organisation
* Good knowledge of FCA regulations and relevant legislation
* Strong commercial insight to create and deliver business cases
