Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Children’s Registered Manager, for a role based in Chester.
About the role:
Liquid Personnel offers a unique opportunity for a Children’s Home Manager to oversee a solo home for a young person with EBD and CSE backgrounds. This northwest-based position focuses on therapeutic approaches, providing 1-1 support to help the young person build relationships and develop essential life skills for a successful future.
What will your responsibilities be?
* Oversee the daily operations of the children’s home, including managing staff, budget, and resources.
* Lead the staff team proactively, in conjunction with the deputy, to create and maintain a safe, warm environment where children and young people can achieve positive outcomes.
* Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including conducting regular performance reviews.
* Collaborate with external agencies such as social workers, healthcare providers, and education professionals to ensure high-quality care and support for each child.
* Ensure the home is a safe and welcoming environment, respecting and prioritizing the needs and preferences of the young people.
* Maintain accurate records and reports, and complete administrative tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
Qualifications and experience:
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing an Ofsted-registered children’s home.
* Level 5 in Leadership & Management – Residential childcare (or equivalent).
* Thorough understanding of Ofsted regulations, legislations, and standards relating to residential care homes for children.
* Excellent leadership and management skills, including motivating and inspiring a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, young people, and external stakeholders.
* Physical intervention experience or willingness to undertake practical training.
