Description
Are you passionate about testing, reliability and delivering engineering performance in a high‑paced motorsport environment? We’re looking for a T&D Design Engineer to join our Test & Development team, playing a vital role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our race car components.
This new role offers the opportunity to work across multiple engineering disciplines, collaborating with Structures, Design and NDT teams to develop innovative test methods and deliver high‑quality data that drives performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
As a T&D Engineer, you’ll take ownership of test activities and contribute directly to development programmes. You will:
* Own and deliver component testing and reliability checks from start to finish.
* Work closely with Structures and Design teams to develop effective test methods.
* Collaborate with T&D Technicians on rig design, build, instrumentation and data acquisition.
* Design and develop new test rigs and equipment where required.
* Create and improve analysis tools and methods to interpret test data.
* Ensure all test results are recorded, documented and stored accurately for future use.
* Communicate updates and results clearly to stakeholders, providing recommendations for development.
* Support wider departmental activities and workload as required.
* Mentor and support students or early‑career team members when needed.
* Contribute to efficient, cost‑effective engineering solutions while maintaining high standards.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We’re looking for a motivated, analytical engineer who thrives in a collaborative and fast‑moving environment. You should have:
* A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Experience or working knowledge of CAD, Excel and programming (e.g., Python).
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
* A practical, analytical approach to problem solving.
* The ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
* A proactive, self‑motivated mindset with a positive, “can‑do” attitude.
* Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and demanding environment.
