Job Title: EPC Construction Manager
To manage the development and delivery of EPC activities, ensuring key targets of time, cost, quality, and HSE are met. The ideal candidate must have extensive civil and electrical experience, be well-versed in site construction management and execution, and experienced in assessing tenders. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and familiarity with NEC4 forms of contract are essential. Experience with early works and interaction with design, engineering, and constructability is also required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure Safety, Health & Environmental protection is prioritized throughout all construction activities.
2. Establish and lead the project HSE Team to manage HSE activities during construction and commissioning phases.
3. Act as the Principal Contractor under the CDM Regulations.
4. Manage construction hazards across the project.
5. Implement quality systems for controlling construction information.
6. Identify and manage key construction risks to minimize their impact.
7. Lead the construction team to deliver project requirements successfully.
8. Liaise with key customer plant personnel to align construction plans with standards and local requirements.
9. Provide construction support for commissioning.
10. Define construction estimates and manage expenditure within the budget.
11. Ensure construction meets quality standards and test requirements.
12. Keep Project Manager informed of progress and issues.
13. Extensive experience with EPC contracts (Civil & Construction).
14. Manage budgets and financial controls.
15. Manage subcontractors effectively.
16. Qualifications: HND/C in relevant discipline, accredited CSCS, SCO 91 certification, desirable APMP and NEC4 accreditation, essential SMSTS training, NEBOSH certification.
