A renowned Education establishment in Leicester is looking to recruit two Business Relationship Managers as the newly modernised Digital and Technology directorate grows. The successful candidate will be a recognised authority in working with internal stakeholders to ensure that stakeholder strategic and operational requirements are understood. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring these requirements are transferred to appropriate teams via appropriate processes within the Directorate. The postholder will understand the operational and developmental needs of the business and acts as a translator and mediator between IT service and the business and will be the primary point of contact for the business. The postholder will be responsible for the day-to-day relationships with business stakeholders, ensuring consistency in engagement across the business. Utilising their engagement and stakeholder management expertise, the postholder will ensure the service meets customer needs, manage expectations and be the effective and responsive face of D&T. Main Duties: Provide Digital & Technology relationship leadership for designated areas of the organisation. Ensure excellence in customer service, developing and managing service level agreements (SLAs) for the portfolio of directorate services, reviewing and adapting service levels to meet stakeholder needs. Build strong customer relationships, contract with customers to ensure needs are understood and deliver against service standards Manage and facilitate formal requirement gathering, strongly aligned to wider organisation’s objectives and strategic framework, to ensure directorate’s delivery meets the needs of Staff and Students. Undertake assessment and evaluation of future business requirements, to recommend new or changed items in the service portfolio, and to advise the faculty or directorate of how to achieve the delivery of these requirements Be a credible member of senior leadership teams, supporting the development of strategic and operational plans, contributing to Faculty Executive and other leadership committees as appropriate. Identify, address, and propose solutions for process challenges, driving service optimisation and improvement initiatives. Develop and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a broad frame of reference that supports decision making, innovation and facilitates the delivery of business outcomes. Develop and analyse quantitative and qualitative data and distil into clear and concise concepts to help inform organisational decision making. Lead and enable corporate and local projects in line with the project management governance. Drive projects to completion through the creation of collegiate working environments. Collaborate closely with colleagues within the Directorate to manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring clear communication and engagement of relevant teams/expertise for the successful initiation and delivery of projects. Develop and implement IT demand management and processes across the organisation actively managing demand flow and provide recommendations for IT resource deployment within the respective business areas. The postholder is expected to help maintain a safe working environment for staff, students and visitors by working closely with the local safety coordinator as required. Any accidents or dangerous incidents must be reported promptly through the organisation’s reporting system. The role is hybrid, with the successful candidate being on site 3 days a week.
