About Kilnbridge

Kilnbridge is the UK’s leading structures specialist, delivering some of the country’s most complex and iconic engineering, construction and infrastructure projects. Our expertise spans the full lifecycle of a structure – design, build, adapt, repair and protect – delivered by four specialist operational businesses that combine seamlessly as One Kilnbridge to meet any project’s needs.

We are purpose‑led, focused on building a sustainable and resilient future for the UK, with a reputation for technical excellence, safety and quality built over 35 years. As an employee‑owned business, our people are at the heart of everything we do – empowered to contribute, innovate and help shape our continued success.

If you want to make a meaningful impact, grow your career and join a team that values expertise and forward thinking, we’d love to hear from you.

We are looking for a driven Senior Construction Manager who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is ready to take ownership of delivering high quality, industry‑leading projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Lead day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring inspections are completed to a high standard and all actions are closed out efficiently.
* Play a key role in shaping a strong safety culture by delivering confident site inductions, toolbox talks, and briefings, while ensuring full PPE compliance and encouraging proactive use of Notify.
* Bring trade teams together to deliver high quality work on time, resolving challenges and driving continuous improvement across the site.
* Carry out regular inspections of installations, plant, equipment, and materials to maintain exceptional safety, compliance, and organisation.
* Take ownership of coordinating deliveries and managing on‑hire and off‑hire requirements, supporting efficient material and equipment use and minimising waste.
* Ensure supervisors maintain clear, accurate records and allocation sheets that support strong communication and project reporting.
* Provide technical input to the project programme and contribute to practical solutions when project challenges arise.
* Keep Project Managers updated on progress, workforce capability, and the quality of completed works.
* Maintain a tidy, well‑presented site with appropriate welfare facilities and help cultivate a positive, engaged team culture.
* Lead and develop supervisory and trade teams through effective coaching, onboarding, performance reviews and workforce planning, including holidays, absence and training needs.
* Make commercially aware decisions and support the wider team in weekly and monthly cost management processes.

What You’ll Need

* NVQ Level 5 or Level 6, plus SMSTS, PASMA, Leading Edge, Manual Handling, Working at Height Awareness and MEWPS for Managers.
* Strong English communication skills with the ability to motivate teams, assess competence and address performance when required.
* Calm, positive and collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships across clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
* Excellent organisation, planning and attention to detail along with sound commercial awareness of material and labour costs.
* Solid understanding of KCSL policies and procedures, safe systems of work and typical construction methods and processes.
* Proven experience including at least three years as a Construction Manager, three years as a Non‑Working Front‑Line Supervisor and five years in a supervisory construction role.
* Confidence to stop unsafe work, maintain high safety standards and support the development and mentoring of others.
* Commitment to open communication, team problem solving, recognition of success, accountability and maintaining respectful relationships.
* Alignment with core values of responsibility, integrity, teamwork and excellence.
* Strong understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities including hazard identification, incident reporting, safe systems of work and consistent PPE use.
* Willingness to understand all company policies and undertake additional duties appropriate to the role when required.

Why Kilnbridge?
