As we look to further enhance our market presence, we are recruiting a Buyer who will join our thriving team. In this this role you will be responsible for direct and indirect procurement for the business. Your focus will be to ensure OTIF, maintain the highest of quality and ensure all contracts are cost-effective for the business. The right candidate for this role will be proactive and take the initiative to make improvements throughout the Procurement function. Key Responsibilities
7. Proven track record in developing Domestic and International Suppliers from qualification, tendering, selection and on-boarding.
8. Developing all processes and procedures to ensure best Procurement practice.
9. Negotiating, implementing and maintaining Supplier Agreements.
10. Implementation and maintenance of KPIs to monitor supplier performance of cost, quality, OTIF delivery and target cost reduction initiatives.
11. Full accountability for sourcing the right quality of products and services.
12. Working within a cross functional environment with Key Business Stakeholders to achieve agreed company objectives. New Product Introduction, Engineering Changes and VA/VE
13. Managing inventory levels and ensure accuracy without affecting production.
14. Full accountability for sourcing the right quality of products and services.
Skills & Experience Required
15. Proficient in Excel (Advanced) and other Microsoft packages.
16. Ability to deliver a procurement service which is cost effective, quality focussed, timely and reliable.
17. Capability to work on multiple tenders, supplier reviews, market analysis and make Business Case recommendations.
18. Ensuring a high level of accuracy across all work to enable decision making.
19. Ability to negotiate and stand by proposals and research/analysis when faced with price increases and changing market costs and indexes.
20. Understanding of supply chain structure, manufacturing, procurement and bill of materials.
21. Ability to work independently and as part of the wider team.
22. Experience in leading and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
23. Enthusiastic and keen to progress.
24. Strong work ethic and proven ability to “go the extra yard”.
25. Degree qualified in the following subjects; Mathematics, Economics, Business or Accounting.
