In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining Quality Data and Systems in accordance with the requirements of defined methods and procedures, and for carrying out sampling and analytical testing of materials and environmental samples in accordance with these methods. You will be an active member of the QA team to achieve the designated quality goals and objectives while maintaining compliance with company, third-party, and customer standards.
Main responsibilities:
* Conduct sampling and analysis of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to verify that materials meet all required quality and functionality parameters.
* Assist in the coordination of samples, including environmental swabs, to external laboratories for testing to ensure timely and accurate results.
* Utilize analytical knowledge and experience to assist with pass, fail, and concession decisions as appropriate, ensuring the integrity of the department.
* Assist with investigating non-conformances and customer complaints, contributing to the identification and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Ensure adherence to policies and procedures (including GLP, GMP, H&S) to meet company, third-party, and consumer standards.
* Participate in covering daily laboratory activities to ensure tasks are completed on time, including QA testing panels and providing Certificates of Analysis (C of A) to internal and external customers.
* Maintain accurate and timely records in information systems (QA data such as inspection plans, methods, procedures, calibrations, SAP) to support department performance and compliance.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and workplace efficiency programs to promote growth in Haddenham Operations.
* Perform sampling and analysis of materials and environmental swabs according to company procedures to produce timely and accurate results.
Candidate profile:
* Educated to HND level or with relevant experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment with high-quality standards and documented quality systems.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office, and SAP.
* Possess a scientific approach with strong attention to detail.
* Laboratory experience with knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage staff across the organization.
* Knowledge of SAP or similar data management systems is advantageous.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness and ability to learn new skills.
* Proactive in problem-solving, initiating change, and driving continuous improvement to enhance laboratory programs.
