Job Summary
North Lanarkshire Council, one of Scotland's largest local authorities, is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join its Technical & Design Group, providing quantity surveying services for the Council's corporate portfolio of properties.
NLC12: £50,669 - £56,329 Per Year
Key Responsibilities
* Cost estimating, preparation of contract documents, payments and contract administration.
* Attend sites and offices as required, involved in all aspects of traditional quantity surveying, including procurement and contract management.
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary environment and collaborate with partner organisations and the general construction sector.
Qualifications and Experience
* A current full driving licence is essential.
* RICS accredited degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a construction‑related discipline.
* Chartered membership of the RICS.
* Considerable experience within the design and construction industry, experience of computerised billing systems, and preferably knowledge of public sector procurement and current industry standard forms of construction contract conditions.
Working Pattern
* Monday to Thursday: 08:45am – 16:45pm
* Friday: 08:45am – 16:15pm
* Hybrid working: partly at home and from office on a rota basis; attend sites and offices as required.
