Job Title: Electrical/Project Engineer
Location: Gloucestershire, UK
Contract: Full-time
Our client is a leading renewable energy integrator and developer specialising in battery storage projects that support the UK and Ireland's power grids.
They are seeking Electrical Engineers to support the growth of the company due to a pipeline of investment and large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate from the early design stage of power and power systems BESS project development through to project commissioning and operation.
2. Deliver your specific expertise to project elements.
3. Collaborate with subcontractors and technical staff on power engineering projects, anticipate risks and costs, and ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications, while maximizing value through innovative solutions.
4. Take a proactive role in technical projects related to both project and product development.
5. Coordinate with other technical disciplines and teams to ensure successful project completion.
Job Requirements:
1. Solid engineering foundation, degree in STEM subject with a 2:1 classification; relevant postgraduate qualifications (MSc, MEng) considered for lower degrees.
2. Minimum two years of engineering experience with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
3. Experience in the power and energy industry is highly desirable but not mandatory.
4. Enthusiasm for renewable energy and the energy market.
5. Strong IT literacy, CAD proficiency, and experience with programming and modeling, including SQL databases, Python, LabView, or similar.
6. Good communication and organizational skills.
7. Valid UK driving license.
8. Electrical engineers with software development expertise are especially encouraged to apply.
