Salary Range: Potential earning up to £39,000 (inclusive of full overtime and planned working time commitments). Salary band is £30,305 - £34,442 + overtime, standby, and planned working hours.
What you’ll be responsible for
As an Electrician, you will carry out maintenance on electrical equipment on our Wastewater assets.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Maintain, repair, and install equipment as part of the main MEI teams, working individually or in a team. Fault-find and rectify problems with electrical systems and ancillary equipment.
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems to ensure asset performance.
* Read, understand, and work from electrical drawings.
* Participate in training and knowledge sessions on the Wastewater treatment process.
* Engage in Risk Assessments, COSHH assessments, and all Health and Safety protocols.
* Identify problematic plant and faults, contributing to solutions to restore equipment to working order.
* Determine spares and materials requirements using preferred suppliers.
* Complete all job cards and timesheets for workload and performance monitoring.
* Provide onsite support and knowledge transfer to DCWW capital and operational teams.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills
* Fully qualified electrician
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Strong planning and scheduling skills
* Ability to develop positive working relationships and be a credible team representative
* Proactive with decision-making and responsibility-taking abilities
* Solution-focused problem-solving approach
* Critical thinking and analytical skills
* Effective communication and influencing skills
* Experience in confined spaces (training provided if not)
* Desirable: Compliance with 18th Edition IEE regulations
Good to know
* Standby is currently 1 in 4; Friday, Saturday, Sunday shifts are together.
* PWT is 260 hours with no fixed hours.
* A company van is provided for business use.
