The company operates a modern CNC machine shop and is seeking an experienced Lead CNC Turner to take a hands-on role while providing technical leadership within the CNC Turning section. This role suits someone who enjoys being on the tools, leading by example, and driving quality and continuous improvement on the shop floor. Benefits: Salary up to £45,000 per annum (DOE) Paid overtime at 1.5x Monthly production bonus (circa 2% of basic salary) Pension scheme with employer contribution 24 days holiday bank holidays Private medical insurance & healthcare cash plan (after probation) Life assurance (death in service) Excellent on-site facilities including free parking, EV charging & gym access Strong commitment to training, development and progression Lead CNC Turner Responsibilities: Programming, setting and operating CNC turning and mill-turn machines Acting as the technical lead within the CNC Turning section Proving programs and resolving machining issues efficiently Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and process development Producing precision components to tight tolerances Machining materials including aluminium, stainless steel, brass and other alloys Supporting production planning, job prioritisation and effective shift handovers Mentoring and supporting less experienced machinists Driving continuous improvement in tooling, processes and productivity Liaising with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues Lead CNC Turner Requirements: Strong experience with CNC turning and/or mill-turn machines Confident using Mazak, Fanuc and/or Siemens controls Proven ability to program, set and operate CNC machines independently Experience with twin-spindle and/or Y-axis machines highly desirable Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings Natural leadership style with a hands-on approach Previous experience as a Senior or Lead Machinist advantageous To apply, simply click the apply button
