We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of respected primary schools in Peterborough and the surrounding areas. With multiple schools and multiple roles available, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience working in primary school settings who are looking for flexible, day-to-day supply work.
This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, or school support staff seeking broader classroom responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise whole classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 during teacher absences
* Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure learning objectives are met
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment
* Support pupils with their learning and wellbeing
* Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
* Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of the day where required
Requirements
* Experience working in a primary school setting – essential
* Experience supporting or supervising EYFS–KS2 classes
* Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
* Reliable, adaptable and professional approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Ability to travel to schools across Peterborough and surrounding areas
* QTS not required
