About the Role
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support pupils across a welcoming primary school in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development within a classroom setting.
The successful candidate will work alongside class teachers to support pupils both academically and socially, helping to create an engaging, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils with their learning, both one-to-one and in small groups
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities
* Providing additional support to pupils who may need extra guidance
* Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting social development
* Helping to create a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment
* Supporting pupils during transitions, playtimes, and school routines
* Communicating effectively with staff, pupils, and other professionals
* Ensuring safeguarding and child protection procedures are always followed
Requirements
* Experience working with children (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
* A supportive, patient, and enthusiastic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* An enhanced DBS on the update service (child workforce), or willingness to apply
* Right to work in the UK
