ROLE: Production Planner
LOCATION: Wellingborough
HOURS OF WORK: Days
BASIC SALARY: £33K - £35K per annum

We are working with a renowned engineering client based in Wellingborough who are looking for a Production Planner to join their team. You will act as the central link between Demand, Production, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality. The Production Planner is responsible for translating customer requirements and demand forecasts into optimised, achievable production plans that balance capacity, materials, labour, and operational constraints.
Your responsibilities as a Production Planner:
* Planning & Scheduling
* Material availability
* Managing customer expectation
* Production resource and capacity
* Maintain shortages report according to demand
* Support other Planning team members
* On time delivery / On time in full
* Meeting customer expectation and agreed due dates.
* Working with Production Managers and Team Leaders to achieve customer expectation
* Maintaining shop floor prioritisation.
* Daily meetings and follow-up.
* Customer order / project related lead time requests
* Customer production status updates
* Supporting the maintenance of published standard lead time sheet.
* Maintain system for pending and overdue deliveries
* Prioritisation of customer demand.
To be successful as a Production Planner you will have:
* HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline (equivalent experience will also be considered)
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
* Experience of industrial manufacturing.
* Supply Chain experience, ideally capacity and production planning related
* Demonstrable capability in interpreting BOMs, routings, capacity data, and manufacturing processes.
* Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) complex event driven schedules.
* A thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and standards and their impact on project activities.
* Experience of ERP systems
