We're looking for a Digital Marketing Manager (maternity cover contract) to join our friendly and collaborative marketing and events team. If you're an experienced digital marketer with a track record of leading campaigns that boost engagement and participation, and if you're excited by user experience, content strategy, and data-led marketing, this could be the perfect role for you.
This is a varied and challenging position, but one that's incredibly rewarding. You might work on a high-impact public-facing campaign to champion animal welfare one day; the next, develop content showcasing our members' voices and promoting the value of joining BVA.
You'll need to be a confident multi-tasker, managing several projects simultaneously while monitoring performance, brand alignment, and strategic goals. This is an exciting time to join BVA as we undertake a major digital transformation project to redevelop our website. Experience with similar projects, especially with a strong understanding of UX, content hierarchy, and user journeys, will be valuable.
You will lead a wide range of digital marketing activities, including planning and delivering insight-driven campaigns, developing content strategies, managing website performance, SEO, digital advertising, and driving engagement in initiatives like BVA's annual awards. Collaboration with partner organizations to develop joint marketing plans promoting benefits for BVA members is also essential.
We seek someone with a strategic mindset and practical skills—from writing engaging content, overseeing multimedia production, optimizing email campaigns, to interpreting data in GA4 for performance improvements. Confidence working across various CMS platforms and channels, with an emphasis on accessible, user-focused design and messaging, is required.
In return, we offer a supportive, kind, and creative working environment that encourages new ideas, growth, and skill development. We value our work deeply and seek someone who shares this vision.
Essential qualities include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience in coordinating digital messages across teams.
