Team Leader – Fixed Term Contract (until 1st June 2027)
Team Leader – FTC Until June 2027 – 3 hours per week – £26,262.91 per annum.
We are seeking an experienced care/support practitioner or Team Leader to line manage our team of support staff within our Dundee services.
In Dundee we support both children and adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism and sensory impairment in the community and in our day opportunity service in City Quay. Our housing support service also provides assistance.
Role Overview
The team’s days are filled with activities on site and externally, such as football day trips, parties and pamper sessions. The service prides itself on being customer‑led. Our close‑knit management team helps our support staff provide 24‑hour support 7 days a week, and they require a motivated and enthusiastic leader to join the team.
Responsibilities
* Co‑ordinate and supervise a team of support staff in delivering a high standard of social care practice using a person‑centred approach that reflects individual customer needs, wants and aspirations.
* Occasionally cover support delivering direct care including medication administration, personal care, and moving and assisting.
* Coach, monitor, mentor and develop the skill base within the staff team.
* Display leadership skills such as role‑modelling, decision making, effective communication, positive attitude, commitment and confidence in the role.
Hours & Working Conditions
The hours of work are generally Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, 30 hours per week, with planned weekends and on‑call duties to allow for work/life balance.
