As a key member of the Property Team, you’ll deliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice across abroad property portfolio. You’ll help manage legal risk, support strategic projects, and contribute to continuous improvement through data‑driven insights and self‑service legal solutions. About the Role
As a key member of the Property Team, you’ll deliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice across a broad property portfolio. You’ll help manage legal risk, support strategic projects, and contribute to continuous improvement through data‑driven insights and self‑service legal solutions. This role is ideal for a property lawyer seeking fast‑paced, varied work in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Build strong working relationships across Group Property and other business functions.
* Provide clear, high‑quality legal advice across a broad and diverse estate.
* Identify, manage and mitigate property‑related legal risks while influencing commercial strategy.
* Ensure all property transactions are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with internal policies.
* Work collaboratively with specialists across Group Legal & Compliance to deliver coordinated support.
* Use management information (MI) to identify opportunities, drive improvements and reduce risk.
* Support the development and embedding of self‑service and on‑demand legal tools for internal clients.
* Contribute to training and upskilling initiatives to strengthen legal understanding across the property function.
About You
You are a commercially minded property lawyer with excellent communication and collaboration skills. You enjoy working across a varied estate, solving complex problems and influencing decision‑making in a fast‑moving environment. You approach change positively and are committed to delivering high‑quality legal outcomes.
What You’ll Bring
* Professional legal qualification (Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent).
* Minimum 5 years’ post‑qualification experience in real estate, ideally with exposure to large, complex property portfolios.
* Experience working in‑house or secondment experience within a property‑focused organisation (desirable).
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and deliver constructive outcomes.
* Experience of construction, planning or property litigation would be beneficial, but not required.
* A proactive, positive attitude toward challenges, risk and change.
