A IT support company are currently seeking an apprentice to help assist with their IT, smart technologies, and secure network systems.
The role will provide a hands-on opportunity to work with enterprise technology, engage with key stakeholders within the company, and develop new digital and technical skills. Ideal for a first-time role since full training will be provided.
KEY DUTIES
Configure and install network hardware including switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
Assist with basic cybersecurity monitoring tasks, such as reviewing alerts or updating security software
Learn to use AI-driven tools for automating routine IT support tasks or analysing system performance
Monitor and review network infrastructure to ensure effective operational uptime and network performance
Create and maintain technical documentation and diagrams outlining the network architecture and procedures
Provide technical support to localised IT Teams and assist with network-related inquiries
Respond to security incidents to ensure the integrity of the network
Support the setup and maintenance of smart office technologies (e.g., connected meeting rooms, digital signage, or automated systems)
Contribute to testing and troubleshooting smart devices or AI-powered applications used within the company

ELIGIBILITY
Living in Devon County Council region.
Employed, self-employed, career changers, returners to work or unemployed within the last 12 months.
Have the right to live and work in the UK.
Have access to a reliable internet connection with a PC/ Laptop.
